A 36-foot-long boat caught on fire in the Safe Harbor Marina on Green Street in Onset on Friday, June 16.
In video of the incident captured by David Curran, a thick plume of smoke can be seen rising from the boat.
At around 6 p.m. on Friday, the Wareham Department of Natural Resources announced that the “incident [is] under control.” A photo posted by the department showed a charred and severely damaged boat.
The Onset Fire Department declined to comment, stating that the fire is an active situation.
