Church of the Good Shepherd says ‘good boy’ to all during animal blessing

The Church of the Good Shepherd invited pet lovers and their furry friends to be blessed Sunday, Oct. 5.
Close to a dozen people showed up to the church located at 74 High Street some with their pets others with pictures to be blessed by Reverend Dan Bernier.
Bernier said blessing animals pays homage to Saint Francis who was known for his appreciation of all God’s creations.
He added the blessing is done around Oct. 4 every year because that is Saint Francis’ feast day.
