This event has been cancelled. Those who have already purchased tickets are asked to call the person from whom they bought tickets to get a refund.

The Wareham Firemen’s Association will be hosting a chicken bake and surprise auction on Saturday, March 21 at 6 p.m. at the Redmen Hall, 786 Main Street. Tickets for the dinner cost $20. The menu includes salad, half of a barbeque chicken, potatoes, vegetables, rolls, butter, coffee, and dessert.

Attendees should bring a wrapped item for the surprise auction which may be new or repurposed. The item can be wrapped in newspaper, in a beautiful gift bag, or disguised in some way that will encourage bidding. Part of the fun is that bidders don’t know what they are bidding on. The Association respectfully requests that the item be worthy of someone taking it home at the end of the night.

All proceeds will benefit the Association’s Scholarship Fund. Scholarship applications are available at the Wareham High School Guidance office.

Tickets must be purchased by March 14. No tickets will be sold at the door.
