Daniel “Dan” Patrick Sutton, 70, of Spartanburg, SC, died Friday, July 29, 2022 in his home. Born July 23, 1952, in Boston, MA, he was the son of Rosemary Durham Sutton of Brockton, MA and the late Edward Gerard Sutton. Dan was a resident of Wareham for 35 years.

Dan was the owner of Baker Boy in Cape Cod and loved cooking for his family. He served in the US Air Force.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Catherine Miner Sutton; sons, Daniel Sutton (Melanie) of Asheville, NC, Edward Sutton (Anne) of Charlotte, NC, Benjamin Sutton (Misty) of Fairhaven, MA, Adam Sutton (Elizabeth) of Charlotte, NC; eight grandchildren; mother, Rosemary Durham Sutton of Brockton, MA; and sisters, Dr. Linda Sutton of Chapel Hill, NC and Keri Sutton of Brockton, MA. Dan is predeceased by a sister, Mary Kathleen Barros.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4 at Floyd’s North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St, Spartanburg, SC 29306. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5 at the Catholic Church of Jesus Our Risen Savior, 2575 Reidville Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29301.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to United Way of the Piedmont, 203 E. Main St, Spartanburg, SC 29306.
