Edward “Ed” T. Tarrant, 79, of East Wareham, died July 2, 2022, at Tobey Hospital while surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Donna M. (Gallagher) Tarrant.  They were married for 59 years. He was the son of the late Edward F. and Margaret (Breen) Tarrant.

He was born in Medford, raised in Somerville and lived in Wareham for many years.

Mr. Tarrant owned and operated Tarrant Siding Company for many years before retiring.

He enjoyed his family and friends and upon retirement, he spent his winters in Florida, visiting all the beautiful beaches and he also loved traveling. He was an avid sports fan.   Ed played semi pro football for the Boston Sweepers and he enjoyed all New England sports teams.  

Survivors include his wife, Donna M. (Gallagher) Tarrant; his children, Donna Bartlett and her husband Peter of East Wareham, Edward T. Tarrant, Jr. of East Wareham, and Holly Tarrant of Wareham; 5 grandchildren, Erik Bartlett and his wife Sandy of Boston, Shawn Bartlett and his wife Nicole of Cumberland, RI, Joshua Bartlett of East Wareham, Angelina Tarrant of Bridgewater and Nico Tarrant of Plymouth; 4 great grandchildren, Owen, Keegan, Gracyn and Brooks Bartlett.

Visiting hours are from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13th, at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. 

A funeral Mass will be held at 10am on Thursday July 14th at St. Patrick’s Church, 82 High St., Wareham.
