The Friends of the Wareham Free Library are looking for donations to support Wareham children’s membership in Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

The Imagination Library is a free program open to Wareham residents from birth to age five. Each month, children are mailed an age-appropriate book. The books are provided free of charge, so the Friends only need to raise $25 per child per year to cover the cost of shipping. 

The program works to foster a love of reading in children and also help prepare them for kindergarten.

To donate to the program, mail a check to P.O. Box 735, Wareham, MA 02571. Checks should be made out to “Friends of the WFL” with Imagination Library in the memo line.

To sign up a child, fill out the form available at the front desks at the main library and Spinney Library. Please note that children will not receive their first book for eight to ten weeks.
