June is officially “Friends Membership Month” at the Wareham Free Library.

"It's already June and we haven't held one used book sale this year," said Friends President Priscilla Porter.

According to a press release from the Friends of The Wareham Library “that means that the funds used to support our Library are very low, yet the Friends still need to support the library. Porter hopes that the Annual Membership drive will help to supplement the funds that will be needed when the Library opens.”

The Friends of the Wareham Free Library support the library’s books and materials budget which is needed to maintain certification. While the Library remains closed due to the pandemic, a phased opening is expected some time in the future, and the Friends' monetary support will be needed more than ever.

The Friends are now asking everyone to join them, in the hopes that the membership dues will help support the Library. Current members are also asked to renew their membership as well. 

A single membership is $10, family membership is $25, senior/student is $5. The Silver Sponsorship is $50 and the Gold Sponsorship is $100.
