SPILLANE FIELD ATHLETIC LIGHTING REPLACEMENT PROJECT
WAREHAM, MASSACHUSETTS
The Town of Wareham invites sealed bids for the Spillane Field Athletic Lighting Replacement Project, located adjacent to the Wareham Middle School in Wareham, MA. The project consists of upgrading the existing football and baseball field lighting to an energy-efficient LED athletic lighting system, including (but not limited to) removal and disposal of seven (7) existing wooden light poles, installation of six (6) new poles with LED luminaires, and retrofitting one (1) existing metal pole with upgraded LED luminaires, resulting in a seven (7) pole system. Work also includes associated electrical upgrades including new/updated conduits, wiring, and appurtenances, complete, tested, and commissioned in accordance with the Contract Documents and specified lighting performance criteria, including meeting NCAA lighting standards.
The bid will be advertised in the Central Register on January 14, 2026 at 12:00 PM.
A Pre-Bid Meeting / Site Walk will be held on January 21, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Spillane Field, near home plate.
Bidder questions must be submitted no later than January 22, 2026 at 5:00 PM via email to kflynn@wareham.k12.ma.us.
Sealed bids will be received until January 29, 2026 at 2:00 PM at WAREHAM PUBLIC SCHOOLS 4 Viking Drive, Door 22, Wareham, MA 02571, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked: “Spillane Field Athletic Lighting Replacement Project”.
Bid documents will be available beginning January 14, 2026 by contacting Kristin Flynn, Director of Finance, kflynn@wareham.k12.ma.us.
The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities, and award in the best interest of the Town.
