Mumma Mary’s Italian Cafe on Main Street will soon be able to serve beer and wine alongside owner Mary Labonte’s Italian cuisine.

The Select Board approved a seasonal pouring license for the restaurant on May 10. Board member Alan Slavin said he had been urging Labonte to apply for the license for several years as alcohol sales often help restaurants become more profitable.

Board member Jared Chadwick thanked Labonte for her contributions to the community.

The board also approved extending Ella’s Wood Burning Oven’s liquor license to include outdoor service — a feature the restaurant added during the pandemic.
