Music from Land’s End, Wareham’s classical music maestros, will perform two concerts this summer.

The first, “Melodious Noise,” will be at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 74 High St., on Sunday, July 30 at 5 p.m. 

It will feature works by Johann Christoph Bach (Johann Sebastian Bach’s uncle) and Johann Bernard Bach (Johann Sebastian’s cousin), George Frideric Handel, Sebastian Gottschick and Franz Tunder. The music will span from the Baroque era to modern times. 

Gottschick’s piece “Melodious Noise” was written specifically for July’s concert. He will play his own music on the viola, joined by singers Sherezade Panthaki and Jay Carter, flautist Emi Ferguson, violinists Ariadne Daskalakis and Jesse Irons, cellist Beiliang Zhu and harpsichordist Arthur Haas. 

If that concert’s program didn’t have enough Johann for you, then just you wait: Music from Land’s End’s next concert, “So Many Ways to Sing,” will feature the works of Johannes Brahms. 

Rounding out the concert, which will be at the Church of the Good Shepherd on Friday, August 11 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, August 13 at 5 p.m., will be music by Roglit Ishay, as well as popular songs from the 1960s to today. 

Ishlay will perform his own music with Paige Riggs and singer-songwriter Nick Randolph with his ensemble “Nick and the M-L-E’s.” 

The August 11 concert will be specially tailored toward families with young children. 

Both concerts are pay-what-you-will.
