Wallace E. “Clem” Clemishaw, 96

Wallace E. “Clem” Clemishaw, 96, of West Wareham, died June 10, 2019 in Royal Cape Cod Nursing Home, Buzzards Bay. He was the husband of the late Shirley F. (Besse) Clemishaw and the son of the late Walter and Viola (Maxim) Clemishaw.

He was born in Middleboro and lived in Wareham for many years.  He was a World War II Army Veteran.

Mr. Clemishaw was a Foreman for Beaton Cranberry Company for 40 years before retiring.

He enjoyed smoking his pipe, watching the birds and living on Blackmore Pond. He was a member of the American Legion Post 220.

Survivors include his children, Dennis Clemishaw of Rochester, Karen Tellstone of Blackstone, Randi Galvin of Marion, Pamela Wilbur of Wareham and Lisa Duffy of West Wareham; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Alice Miers of Bourne, Esther Peltola of Middleboro, Florence MacPherson of Spokane, WA; 2 brothers, Charles Clemishaw of Rochester and Walter Clemishaw of TX. He was predeceased by a son, David Clemishaw, and a sister, Phyllis LaConte.

Visiting hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
