On Tihonet Pond
While listening to bluegrass bands play on Saturday, I wandered over to the shore of Tihonet Pond to snap some photos of families paddling the duck and swan boats.
When I stepped back, I looked more closely at the potential photos I'd initially overlooked: Insects, trees, flowers — and a whole lot of color.
I paused and focused on capturing the little things. Sure, the photos couldn't be used with my coverage of the bands playing, but that was probably the most relaxing thing I did at work all last week.
The photos remind me to have patience and not to overlook life's little wonders — two things I often forget to do in my continuous running to complete tasks.
Have a great week — enjoy the last of summer.
