Preparations are in full swing at the First Congregational Church  of Wareham for the Annual Harvest and Holly Fair to be held on Saturday, November 18th.  One of the oldest community fairs, there will be lots of new and traditional wares for those entering Fellowship Hall on Gibbs Avenue when the doors open at 10 AM.  There will be an assortment of items on the two floors and stage of this Hall, which is adjacent to the Congregational Church near the Wareham Town Green.

Free admission, ample parking, the lure of a lobster roll-clam chowder luncheon and a wide variety of homemade crafted goods are incentives for the general public to attend.  Some church members have spent hours preparing creative crafts....others have prepared delicious apple pies and an assortment of baked goods.  Between the various displays of professional crafters, there will be tables with prepared fudge and candies, jewelry, homemade pickles-jams-jellies and hardy fresh garden vegetables.  At the take-out kitchen table there will be fresh entrees, soups and a sundry of homemade treats.  A gift table and raffle prizes round out the selection of tables.

On the Fellowship Hall basement level, thrifty patrons will find an assortment of household collectibles, antiques, used hand tools-lamps-appliances.  Second hand books, games, and athletic items will line the 1st floor corridors.  The popular Next-to-New Thrift Shop also will be open for those seeking clothing apparel, coats, linens and much more.

Circle the date of November 18th and plan to attend this most interesting event.  There will be bargains galore at this old fashioned indoor mall.  Doors will open at 10 AM and close at 2 PM.  Raffle winners will be drawn at 2 PM.
