It's back to school for the kids and time for you to feel healthier & be stronger and the Y has several new programs for you to try and experience. For September we have the following offerings at the Gleason Family YMCA:

• Grandparents Week September 13-19th, membership special available
• Fall Open House, Saturday, September 19th, 10-1 pm, membership special available & Demos for new Body Pump Classes
• Color Fun Run, Saturday, September 19th, 11 am, ages 8 and up, Silly String run for kids under age 8, $5 donation
• Weight Loss Challenge - sign up in September for the 6 Week Challenge that begins in October, $75 for members and $90 for general public
• Volleyball League starts September 22, offered on Tuesdays 6-9 pm, ages 16+, $65 for members & $90 for the general public
• New Group Exercise Classes - Body Pump, Piloxing (Pilates & boxing combined), H.I.I.T (high intensity interval training), Rock Bottom (focus on thighs & butt), Armed & Dangerous (sculpt those arms!)
• Costume Recycling Program- donate those clean & gently used Halloween costumes to the Y all month long

Coming up in October at the Gleason Family YMCA:

• Arts Week at the Y, October 4-10th, celebrating creativity
• Painting Class, Sunday, October 4th, 2-5pm - join us as we learn to paint a Haunted Halloween scene with guest artist Robyn Iarrobino from Blue Anchor Studio, $35 pp includes materials
• Weight Loss Challenge begins October 1st, limited enrollment & sign up taken on a first come first serve basis so come in today to register
• Toast of the Coast Food & Wine Tasting, Friday, October 16th, 6-9 pm at the Marion Music Hall, $50 pp
• Mermaid School, Youth swim classes, Tuesdays, 4:45-5:30, $28 members & $42 general public
• Cranberry Harvest Festival, Saturday & Sunday Oct. 10 & 11, AD Makepeace Co., come see us & try our golf putting green or pumpkin toss game as we support this community event
• Halloween Costume Sale, Saturday, October 24, 9-4 pm - selling all those recycled costumes for $10
• Halloween Spooktacular & Haunted Forest, Friday, October 30th, 6-8 pm, $15 for family of 4 (2 adults, 2 child)
