Have you always wanted to try throwing pots on a pottery wheel? Classes are beginning soon at Mudstone Studio on Cranberry Highway in Wareham, come and join us!

Throwing on a pottery wheel is a captivating and tactile art form that has been practiced for thousands of years. This ancient craft allows artists to create a variety of ceramic forms with both precision and creativity. Whether you’re a complete novice or looking to refine your skills, understanding the basics of throwing can help you bring your artistic visions to life. Our instructors can help you with your  skills, or start you off from the beginning.
Pottery classes are also a wonderful social experience... there are up to 10 students, each on their own wheel and pursuing the same goal, and an instructor to demonstrate and then guide you through the process until you have success. You will learn how to center the clay, which is essential to creating a bowl or mug, and proceed to pulling the clay into a form, trimming it, and then glazing the finished products with 14 different beautiful glazes in our studio.
