Smith Mills Preschool and Kindergarten held their first art show on Thursday, April 25. Each classroom chose an author/illustrator to focus on. The children were read the books and then created art projects, such as water color paintings, clay sculptures, oil rub paintings and three dimensional pieces. The authors/illustrators were Eric Carle, Leo Lionni and Dr. Seuss. The children were excited to show their parents their projects and discuss the different art supplies they used to create them. With all the different artwork, the colors were vibrant and festive. The parents and families were also treated to a special take home gift and refreshments.
