Join the Friends of the Dartmouth Libraries on Tuesdays (January 24-February 28) from 11 a.m.-noon for the 32nd Annual Molly Little Film Series which will focus on Leonardo da Vinci and the Italian High Renaissance.  Audience members will learn about the artist and some of his most important works in a series of video classes produced by The Great Courses and taught by Professor George R. Bent from Washington and Lee University.  The series will be presented in the Haskell Auditorium at Southworth Library, 732 Dartmouth Street.

On six successive Tuesday mornings (starting January 24), participants will explore the following topics in two 30-minute videos during each session:  Introducing Leonardo da Vinci/Who Was Leonardo? Facts and Fictions (January 24); Scandal, Reprieve, and the Penitent St. Jerome/Leonardo at Court – Portrait of a Musician (January 31); Threats to the Italian Renaissance (the 1490s)/Leonardo the Inventor and Engineer (February 7); Vitruvian Man, Perfection and Architecture/Leonardo the Military Scientist (February 14); Leonardo and Flight/Drawing Human Figures and Caricatures (February 21); and The Making of The Last Supper/The Meaning of The Last Supper (February 28).  Snow days will be March 7 and March 14.
