EVENT POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER
The Museum of Madeiran Heritage, in collaboration with the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra (NBSO), announces that Classical Strings and Traditional Fados, scheduled for Saturday, September 26, has been postponed because of the forecast.
The safety and comfort of our guests, musicians, volunteers, and staff must come first.
This event is POSTPONED — not canceled!
The Museum and NBSO are working together with our participating artists to bring this special evening of classical strings and traditional Portuguese Fado back in the spring of 2027. A new date will be announced as soon as arrangements are finalized.
We sincerely thank everyone who purchased tickets and supported this Museum fundraiser for your patience and understanding.
Information regarding existing tickets and the rescheduled performance will be emailed directly to ticket holders.
We look forward to welcoming you in the spring to the Joseph E. Fernandes Pavilion and Gardens of Madeiran Villages for the evening we had envisioned — beautiful music, Portuguese Fado, and a celebration of our culture and heritage.
