Join the Friends of the Dartmouth Libraries on Saturday, May 16, at 2:00 p.m. at the Dartmouth North Branch Library to hear authors read selections from the SouthCoast anthology series, The Landscape About Us and Waterscapes. Part of ArtWeek SouthCoast, a region-wide celebration of art, culture, and community, the reading presents emotionally resonant works deeply connected to the natural world of the South Coast. The presentation will be held at Dartmouth North Branch Library.
From a mystical story about finding home on the SouthCoast, a turkey defending its territory, a shipwreck's memories, and discovering ancient cowpaths by the Westport River, you will hear about how we interact with our landscapes and in turn are shaped by them. Both The Landscape About Us and Waterscapes won Honorable Mentions in the Book Awards at IPNE (Independent Publishers of New England), respectively, in 2024 and 2025. Both books are projects of Midori Creativity and the Westport Writers Group.
The reading will be held at Dartmouth North Branch Library, an accessible facility, which is located at 211 Cross Street, Dartmouth. For more information, please e-mail fodl.libraries@gmail.com.
