Snowy days are heading our way and the Gleason Family YMCA has a great fundraiser for families and business to show their holiday spirit – Frosty Snowfriends! For your donation you will receive an unprinted snowman-shaped lawn sign for you to paint and decorate as much as you would like. The objective is to be creative & fun with your Snowfriend - there’s no friend like a snowfriend!  

Once purchased you decorate them any way you like: with simple or elaborate designs, with a business logo or name, or with a positive message for the holiday season. Decorating your Frosty Snowfriend is a fun, creative project to share with your family or friends. Use weather-proof paints (acrylic), sharpies, vinyl lettering or images, and lightweight craft supplies on the board. Show off your craftiness & community spirit while helping raise funds in support of the Y’s mission. Once your Snowfriend is completed, return it to the Welcome Center so that it can be exhibited on the lawn with lawn sign stakes. Don’t forget to include your “created by” on the back, with a holiday message.

A limited number of Frosty Snowfriends (40) will be available to decorate and can be purchased for $25 each at the Welcome Center Desk. Frosty Snowfriends sales will run from November 27th until supplies are depleted. Placements will be made throughout the month of December as they are dropped off at the Y. Snowfriends will be displayed outside on the lawn through the first week in January, and then you are welcome to pick up yours and exhibit at your home for the rest of the frosty season.  

This holiday fundraiser for the Gleason Family YMCA’s Annual Campaign is open to YMCA members & guests, Wareham area businesses, school groups, organizations and clubs while supplies last.  The Gleason Family YMCA would like to thank the students of the Engineering Technology class at Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School, who collaborated with us to cut the Frosty Snowfriends on a the schools CNC machine.
