The Friends of the Wareham Free Library encourage all parents/caregivers of children who are Wareham residents between the ages of birth and 4.5 years of age to register for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Qualified children will receive one FREE hardcover book each month mailed directly to the child’s home until the child reaches his/her fifth birthday. 

The Friends are staunch advocates of early childhood literacy, and this international reading program regularly puts a book into a child’s hands at an early age creating a love of books and reading. Studies show that children who are read to perform much better in grade school on beyond.

Register your child at either the Main or Spinney Branch Libraries or at the monthly Friends Used Book Sales.

The program is free, but the Friends do raise money to support the program. For a $25 donation, one child will receive books for a year. Donations are accepted year-round and can be dropped off at either library or mailed to the Friends of the Wareham Free Library, P.O. Box 735, Wareham, MA 02571.
