The children at Smith Mills Christian Preschool & Kindergarten learned about Veteran's Day from Veteran Marine Sgt. Manuel Soares. Sgt. Soares visited the classroom and spoke with the children about being in the Marines and keeping us safe. The children also listened to a story and asked questions like what did he do, if he played sports, what did he eat, and what did he wear. Sgt. Soares served 12 years in the Marines and served in Desert Storm. All the students and staff thanked him for his service and invited him to come back and visit.
