Moonrise Hike at Great Neck
Join us for an amazing night hike at Mass Audubon’s Great Neck Wildlife Sanctuary on Saturday, December 14 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM sponsored by Mass Audubon and the Wareham Land Trust. Guided by naturalist and Director of Allen’s Pond Wildlife Sanctuary, Gina Purtell, you’ll experience the winter Sanctuary forest under the light of a full moon. Owls, mink, mice, vole and our resident fall and winter birds abound and you can observe their tunnels, tracks and scat along the trail. This hike is suitable for nature enthusiasts from age 0 to 85! Instructions and Directions:
Meet in the Great Neck Parking lot on Stockton Shortcut in Wareham and dress for a night hike. Please bring a water bottle and binoculars. We will have binoculars to share if you don't have a pair.
