Wareham Land Trust Presents An Ex-Streamly Interesting Program

The Wareham Land Trust is sponsoring a presentation on "River Ecology and Restoration" on Saturday April 6 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the Wareham Free Library on Marion Road. Presenter Beth Lambert, River Restoration Program Manager with Mass. Fish and Game's Division of Ecological Restoration will discuss clean water, water availability, flowing water and complex connected habitat, storm-water runoff, over-withdrawal of water, and how habitat fragmentation  impacts river ecology. An overview of the historic use of rivers in Massachusetts, will be followed by a presentation of river restoration projects with before and after photos.  A question and answer period will follow with refreshments  provided by Land Trust members.
