The Wareham Historical Society is very pleased to announce that Mr. Scott Ridley, the author of "Morning of Fire: John Kendrick's Daring American Odyssey in the Pacific" will be the guest speaker at our next meeting to be held on Monday, May 16, 2011, at 7 p.m. Mr. Ridley, a policy analyst and published author, has spent four years researching Capt. Kendrick's life. Much of what he learned contradicts commonly accepted history. Scott is passionate about setting the record straight and he will reveal how Capt. Kendrick is truly an unsung hero, not only of our country, but also of Wareham where his home is now owned and maintained by the Wareham Historical Society. Come learn the true story of a previous resident of Wareham that we should all be very proud to claim as one of our own. Mr. Ridley will also have copies of his book available for purchase and there will be an opportunity to have him sign your copy following the presentation.
