‘Woodie’ car show on Sept. 9
Sep 7, 2017
The Woodie Car Show returns for its second year in Wareham on Sept. 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the A.D. Makepeace Company, 158 Tihonet Road.
Woodies are cars, usually station wagons but not always, that feature real wood in the construction. Most were built from the early 1930s up until 1953 before being phased out. Because the wood construction made maintenance and repairs difficult, the cars are rarities.
The show is being hosted by the Yankee Wood Chapter of the National Woodie Club. The event is free to attend.
