2 Wareham High School students to attend Philanthropy Day
Tyler Litchfield and Ruth Gonzalez were recently selected as delegates to attend 2016 Philanthropy Day on Cape Cod. Now in its 20th year, Philanthropy Day is one of the biggest events on Cape Cod for sharing, learning and celebrating philanthropy.
Both students were chosen not only for their demonstrated leadership, but for their acts of community service during their high school. Litchfield is the battalion commander of the high school JROTC program, and Gonzalez is the president of the Key Club.
Philanthropy Day is a full day of speakers knowledgeable on a multitude of topics, extended networking opportunities and a lunch featuring philanthropic award presentations. It is sponsored by Philanthropy Partners of the Cape and Islands which is a nonprofit, volunteer-led organization that has been in existence on Cape Cod since 1991.
Members participate in lunches four times a year featuring guest speakers on topics relevant to members, including nonprofit administration.
