Absentee ballots for July 25 special election now available

Jul 10, 2012

Absentee ballots for the July 25 special election are now available in the Town Clerk's Office.

Voters who can not vote on July 25 due to work, school, medical appointments, or religious beliefs may fill out an application for an absentee ballot with the Clerk.

Once the application is filled out and filed, voters have the choice of either voting right then at the Clerk's Office, or they can have the ballot mailed to their home.

Voters are not allowed to hand carry the ballot back to their homes from the Clerk's Office or to another voter's home.

Once the ballot is voted and sealed in the appropriate envelope, the voter can either mail it back or hand carry it to the Town Clerk's Office for processing.

Voters are not allowed to deliver ballots to the precinct.

The last day to apply for an absentee ballot is on Tuesday, July 24 at 12 noon.

Any concerns or questions, please call the Town Clerk's Office at 508-291-3140.
