Jan 14, 2014

A.D. Makepeace wants to help area non-profits and government agencies that serve their communities.

The A.D. Makepeace Company announced that application packages for grants from the Makepeace Neighborhood Fund are available as of Jan. 14.  Applications are due March 10.

Grants are available on a competitive basis to non-profit organizations and governmental agencies which provide services to residents of Wareham, Plymouth, Carver and Rochester.  Grants typically range from $5,000 to $10,000 and must be in one of the following disciplines:  agriculture, education, health care, community housing, historic preservation, community services, or environmental protection.

Grants are not available to individuals.

For those unsure if their entity qualifies for a grant, examples of funded projects are available on the A.D. Makepeace Company website.

Organizations seeking information about the grant program should visit the A.D. Makepeace Company web site, www.admakepeace.com.

The Makepeace Neighborhood Fund was established in 2005 as a way for the A.D. Makepeace Company to provide significant support to community groups providing services the company finds important.  In the past six years, the company has awarded 247 grants totaling nearly $1.5 million for local projects and programs.
