Albert F. Richards, 87, owner Beaver Nursery, WWII Navy submariner

Albert Richards, 87, of Wareham, died Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the Forestview Nursing Home in Wareham. He was the husband of Phyllis M. (Donahue) Richards.

Born and raised in Brockton, Albert resided in East Bridgewater for many years and owned and operated the Beaver Nursery for 40 years before moving to Wareham in retirement. Albert was also a winter resident of Naples, FL for many years.

A World War II Navy veteran, Albert was a torpedo man in the Submarine Service in the Pacific theatre of operations.

He is survived by his loving wife Phyllis; his daughter Carol Black, of Middleboro; his son Bruce Richards, of Brockton; two grandsons, Thomas Black of Middleboro and Adam Black of W. Bridgewater and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be private.
