Anne Lorraine Simcock Nightingale, 66
Anne Lorraine Simcock Nightingale, 66, passed away March 18 at Roberts Healthcare Center in North Kingston, Rhode Island, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Waltham, Massachusetts, and raised in Onset, Anne pursued a successful career in the hospitality industry for several decades on the west coast before returning to the local area to be closer to family and friends. She was a 1968 graduated of Wareham High School.
Anne was a talented interior decorator and cook. She also enjoyed traveling, road trips with friends, and family get-togethers. She leaves behind her devoted brother Donald Simcock, his wife Gloria, of Corinna, Maine, nephew Jason Nesmith and his wife Siobhan, of Narragansett, Rhode Island. She is also survived by her brother Scott Simcock, of South Paris, Maine, and nephew Joshua Nesmith and his wife Sonya, of Narragansett, Rhode Island, as well as many other nieces and nephews.
Close friends Marilou Newell, of Mattapoisett, Ronan (Bowan) Gould, of Bourne, and Eileen Epstein, of Portsmith, Rhode Island, will remember Anne with love and gratitude for her lifelong friendship.
Anne is preceded in death by her beloved sister Linda (Simcock) Nesmith, brother Alan Simcock, father and mother Russell and Dova Bell Simcock. Funeral arrangements are private. Donations to the American Cancer Society in Anne’s name are encouraged.
