Anthony D. Butler, 54

Anthony D. Butler, 54, of South Plymouth, passed away Sept. 24 at Tobey Hospital. Anthony is the husband of Janice (Stephens) Butler of South Plymouth, and former husband of Lisa Butler.

He was born in Russellville, Arkansas, the son of the late Sylvester and Edith (Bolden) Butler. He attended Russellville Public Schools and is a member of the graduating class of 1977. He worked for many years as an LPN, most recently for Falmouth Healthcare and Rehab.

A motorcycle enthusiast, Anthony enjoyed building motorcycles and worked with Aussie Welding of Cape Cod. He was an avid reader and carpenter, and a member of the Plymouth Rod and Gun Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his stepchildren: Eric Stephens, Misty Proulx, and Paula Casey, all of New Bedford, and Michael Stephens of Colorado. He is the brother of the late Billy R. Butler and Nancy Butler McCarrell. Anthony is also survived by 8 step-grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Memorial visiting hours will be held on Sept. 28  from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Wareham Village Funeral Home, 5 Center Street, Wareham. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment will be private.
