Applications available for senior work-off program

Applications for the annual Senior Citizens Tax Work-Off program will be available starting Monday, April 6.

The program enables seniors to write off a maximum of $500 off their taxes by working in various town departments. There are 35 positions available and seniors qualify on an income-based, needs-first basis, although applicants must be capable of doing the required work.

Applications can be picked up at the Council on Aging office in the Multi-Service Center at 54 Marion Road. For more information call Pam Dudley, the Council on Aging office manager, at (508) 291-3130.
