Benefit for Wareham woman battling cancer
Wareham resident Kimmy Abbott was recently diagnosed with stage III lung cancer. In her honor Kimmy's friends and family have formed the Kimmy Committee and will be hosting the "Battle to Live" benefit on Saturday, June 11 at 2 p.m. at Stevie B's in Onset.
The benefit is free and open to all who'd like to show their support. There will be a raffle held.
The Kimmy Committee welcomes donations and would be happy pick up donations for the benefit by June 1.
Kimmy is a life-long resident of Wareham and has been employed at Bailey's Surf and Turf for a number of years. She receives daily treatments, leaving her unable to work.
