Bernice M. "Lovie" Parker Fearing, 89
Bernice M. "Lovie" Parker Fearing, 89, of West Wareham, died Dec. 2 in the Sippican Health Care Center, Marion. She was the widow of Byron Fearing. Her first husband, James W. Parker, died in 1985. She was the daughter of the late Almon and Fannie (Westgate) Westgate.
She was born in Wareham and lived there all of her life. She graduated from Wareham High School.
She was a charter member of the Wampanoag Council #15 Degree of Pocahontas, a charter member of the Wareham Horseman’s Association, a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 188, and a member of Church in the Pines, where she sang in the choir. She had been a Den Mother of Cub Scouts Troop 39.
Survivors include her sons, Randy Parker, and his wife, Merle, of Marion, and James W. Parker and his wife, Laurie, of Wareham; her daughter, Sheila Byrne and her husband, Joe, of Ocala, FL; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by 12 siblings.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Dec. 6, in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. Burial will follow in Centre Cemetery, Wareham.
Visiting hours are from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
