Beverly A. Butland, 68, dietary aide Tobey Hospital
Beverly A. (Demers) Butland, 68, of Leominster, formerly of Wareham, died Dec. 5, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Boston. She was the widow of the late Edward Butland.
Born in Wareham, she was the daughter of the late George & Viola (Murphy) Demers. A longtime resident of Wareham, she moved to Leominster in 2006. Mrs. Butland was employed for many years as a dietary aide at Tobey Hospital in Wareham.
She enjoyed trains, and was known at Tobey Hospital for wearing her colorful and seasonal headbands.
Survivors include her daughter, Viola M. Dube and her husband David of Leominster; two sisters, Mary Barr of Milford and Nancy Hegg of Warwick, RI; her brother George Demers, Jr. of Baltimore, MD; two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Renee Dube; many nieces and nephews.
Services were held. Burial is in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wareham. A celebration of Beverly’s life will also be held on Sat., Dec. 15, at Mustard Seed Faith Fellowship, 218 Willard St., Leominster, from 1 to 3 p.m.
