'Bombshell Duo' brings the swing for veterans
Pep, pep, pep -- they were hot as a pepper. Step, step, step -- oh, they were steppers.
Known as Letters from Home, America's Bombshell Duo, Erinn Diaz and Courtney Groves sang and tap, tap, tap-danced along with songs from the 1940s during an evening performance at the First Congregational Church Fellowship Hall on Sunday, April 23.

The energetic duo, donning 1940s-inspired attire, left the stage and jointed the audience at times, where many attendees -- nearly two dozen of them veterans -- were dancing in their chairs and clapping along.
Diaz and Groves surprised many of the men with big kisses on the cheeks -- leaving outlines in bright red lipstick. (None of the recipients seemed to mind...!)
The performance was one of four hosted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Department of Massachusetts to raise funds for Honor Flight New England. Organizer Bob Graser estimated that between $3,000 and $4,000 was raised in total. In addition to Wareham, shows were held in Ludlow, Florence and Lawrence, Mass.
Honor Flight transports senior and terminally ill veterans to Washington D.C. at no cost to the veterans, where they can visit war memorials and reflect upon time served in the armed forces.
