Boo Bash draws families, some in horse-drawn carriages
The Boo Bash at Wareham Crossing attracted approximately 1,000 kids for the annual Halloween celebration held Saturday morning.
From 10 a.m. to noon, the kids went trick-or-treating to as many stops within the shopping plaza as they possibly could. Rachel Guard, one of the event's organizers, said this year more stores participated in trick-or-treating than the previous year.
Casa Cancun hosted horse-drawn carriage rides around the parking lot while the Paper Store provided face painting and professional pumpkin carvers.
At 11 a.m., James and the Jamtones had kids jumping to their songs. Though the pumpkins in the "pumpkin patch" around the plaza's pirate ship were picked up quickly, it did serve as a backdrop for many families taking pictures of their little ones in costumes.
