Cape Cod Five: No longer just for Cape Cod
The weather for the Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank ribbon-cutting ceremony was bright and sunny, which is what bank executives hope the future of Wareham will be thanks in part to this branch.
"We're just excited to be a part of all of the good things already happening here in Wareham," said Cape Cod Five President and CEO Dorothy Savarese at the ceremony.
The bank, which already has many locations on Cape Cod, is the first of many Rosebrook Place locations that will begin to open their doors in the coming months and years. According to plans provided by A.D. Makepeace Company, the finished Rosebrook Place will include a hotel, apartments, restaurants, and a pharmacy.
The ribbon-cutting comes not even a year after the groundbreaking ceremony for the branch. At that event, Town Administrator Derek Sullivan remarked that "Cape Cod Five is a good resident wherever they go."
Indeed, Dorothy Savarese seems committed to this good citizenship.
"There are so many positive things happening in the town and in the business community that we can't wait to be a part of," said Savarese.
Savarese led the ribbon cutting along with A.D. Makepeace CEO Michael Hogan and several members of the Cape Cod Five team. The branch will employ 13 people, many of them local Wareham residents.
A.D. Makepeace Vice President of Marketing Communications Linda Burke has confirmed that the Wareham office of Rogers and Gray has relocated to office space in the Cape Cod Five building.
Rosebrook place is located at the intersection of I-195/I-495 and the Cranberry Highway. Many of the planned facilities are still under construction.
