The Wareham Historical Society invites the public to a program on Monday, Aug. 15 at 7 p.m. in the Methodist Meeting House, 495 Main St.

Wendy Goodwin, owner of the Cape Cod Shipbuilding Company, will discuss her company, located at 7 Narrows Road in Wareham. It has been manufacturing, maintaining and providing storage for pleasure sailboats since 1899.

She will talk about the family business, which has built boats that have been sailed by families for generations.

Refreshments will be served after the presentation.
