Carolyn Flanagan, 86

Carolyn V. (Krug) Flanagan, 86, of West Wareham died July 5 at home. She was the widow of the late Garrett J. Flanagan, Jr. and the daughter of the late Henry and Florence (Hood) Krug.

She was born in Boston and lived in Jamaica Plain before moving to Blackmore Pond in West Wareham 25 years ago. She loved living in her cottage at the pond, especially during the changing seasons.

She graduated from Jamaica Plain High School. She was a loving and kind person.

Mrs. Flanagan was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church and was a member of the Degree of Pocahontas in Wareham. She enjoyed reading and Civil War history.

Survivors include her sister, Dorothea Eyre and her husband Lawrence of West Wareham; five nephews; five nieces; many grandnieces and grandnephews. She was the sister of the late Marion L. Cosgrove.

Her Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12 in St. Patrick’s Church, 82 High St., Wareham. Burial will follow in the National Cemetery, Bourne.
