Charles C. Card, Sr., 83

Charles C. Card, Sr., 83, of Wareham, died May 17 at home. He was the husband of the late Alice J. (Stauffer) Card and the son of the late Charles C. and Leona Alma (Cooper) Card.

He was born in Barnstable and lived in Wareham since 1970. Mr. Card received an associate's degree from Massasoit community College in 1981.

Mr. Card retired from the United States Air Force in 1970 as a Master Sergeant. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. After retiring, he worked for McNeiland Oil Company in Bridgewater.

He was a member of the Wareham Lodge of Elks #1548, the VFW Post, the Retired Enlisted Association, the Veterans for Veterans Support, the NAUS, NALE, the National Association for Uniformed Services and the American Legion Post 220 in Wareham.

Survivors include 2 sons, Charles C. Card, Jr. and his wife Judy of Wareham, Thomas A. Card of Ruskin, FL; a daughter, Susan Card of Ruskin, FL; his son-in-law, William Pereira of Ruskin, FL; a brother, Richard Card and his companion, Barbara of Greenfield; a stepbrother, David Bowker and his wife Janet of VT; 4 grandchildren, Sean, Stephanie, Siobhan, and Tami; 5 great-grandchildren, Dylan, Sean Khamden, Isaiah, Naomi, and Taylor.

His graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23, in Cummiquid Cemetery, Collie Ln. & Mary Dunn Rd., Barnstable.
