WAREHAM – Cheryl Marie (Williams) Washington, 72, of Wareham, passed away on February 20, 2025, at Hathaway Manor Extended Care, New Bedford. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Landers) Williams.

She was born in Wareham and lived there for most of her life. She graduated from Wareham High School.

Mrs. Washington worked as a library assistant for the Wareham School Department then as a teacher’s aide for the Fairhaven School Department for many years before retiring.

She enjoyed arts and crafts and decorating.

She was a member of the Wareham-New Bedford Lodge of Elks.

Survivors include her sons, Richard Bacchiocchi and his wife Kim of Forestdale and Shane Bacchiocchi and his wife Caryn of Quincy; her brothers and sisters, Debbie Sarrey of Millis, Tommy Williams of Sharon, Cathy Harp of NC, Lisa Cordeiro of Lakeville and Stevie Williams of NC; 4 grandchildren, Nicholas, Eva, Christian, and Cameron. She was the mother of the late Daniel Bacchiocchi.

Visiting hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2025 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.

Her graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Center Cemetery, Tihonet Rd., Wareham.
