A child was reportedly injured following a hit-and-run in Onset on Sunday evening at approximately 5:30 p.m. at the corner of Old Onset Road and Doherty Street.

According to emergency broadcasts, the child was consciousness and alert after the hit and run and was walking when Wareham EMS arrived on the scene. The child was taken to Tobey Hospital for treatment.

Broadcasts stated Wareham Police were searching for the driver after the crash. Additional information is unavailable at this time.
