Christine “Tina” Bouvier, 51

Mar 14, 2020

Christine “Tina” Bouvier, 51, of Bourne, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 13, 2020 at Rhode Island Hospital while surrounded by family.  She was born in Barnstable and lived in Bourne most of her life and also spent summers in Plymouth.

Tina has held many jobs over the years ranging from areas in health care, restaurant service, and tax consultant. She was a strong, dedicated, hardworking woman who would take the shirt off her back, and protect the ones she loved.  Her most proud and favorite job by far was being a Mother/Grandmother. Whatever she did, she did with all her heart.

Those who know her would agree that Tina’s personality was fiery, and she had a quick wit. To say she was stubborn was an understatement. Tina enjoyed spending her time with family and friends and was an avid Patriots fan. She enjoyed reading a good novel and had passion for music, and could play any tune for any situation.  She was a firm believer of “it is what it is.”

Her family includes her husband, Kevin Spillane of Bourne: her six children, Courtney Cogliano and husband Andrew of Mansfield: Nicholas Buttrick and his wife Amanda of Bourne: Carter Medchill and Grace Bouvier of Bourne: Patrick Spillane and Madison Spillane: her six grandchildren,  Alexis, Nicholas Jr, Gabriearla Rose, Logan, Lillian, and Evelyn: her brother Sean Norton of New Bedford along with her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, Elizabeth “Betty” (Steele) Bouvier.

Visiting hours are from 1 to 4 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2020 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.

Donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association, (For Stroke Prevention), 300 5th Ave, Waltham, MA 02451.
