'Christmas in the Park' delights youngsters in Onset
Children of all ages came out for the Onset Bay Association’s "Christmas In The Park" on Saturday.
Among the activities children participated in were cookie decorating, face painting, magic tricks by Stefon, horse drawn wagon rides and letters to Santa. They also got a chance to experience Onset’s famous talking Christmas tree, andChristmas treats were given out at Walter’s Barber Shop.
Santa arrived promptly at 11:45 and set up at Onset Fire Station to listen to Christmas wishes.
Volunteers for the event included Lorraine MacDonald, Margot Rudin, Linda Gay, Cheryl Baganian, Kat Jones and Noah Powers.
The Onset Bay Association would like to thank to Bill Scott for the use of his space on Onset Ave. and to Dunkin Donuts for contributing cocoa and munchkins. Cookies were prepared by students at Upper Cape Tech.
Donations from Eastern Bank and Inn on Onset Bay made the horse and wagon from Side Hill Farm in Rhode Island possible.
