Every two seconds someone in the U.S needs blood, according to the American Red Cross.

The next community blood drive in Wareham will be on Thursday, April 17 at the Elks Lodge Hall from 2 to 7 p.m.

The American Red Cross contributes to about 40 percent of the nation's blood supply and provides patients in over 2,700 hospitals across the U.S. with blood.
