Community Youth Empowerment provides trunks full of treats

Community Youth Empowerment will host its fifth annual trunk or treat Oct. 26 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the VFW located at 4 Gibbs Ball Park Road.

Trunk or treating is the same as traditional trick or treating except halloweeners move from parked car to parked car instead of from house to house. The event will also feature food, games, trunk decorating, face painting, a costume contest and live music.

Community Youth Empowerment, founded in 2020, is an organization dedicated to providing young people with knowledge, skills and mentorship applicable to life outside of school. The organization offers events and workshops for all grades.
