Complete a marathon over 8 weeks during Summer Miles Challenge

Jul 10, 2017

The Summer Miles Challenge is being held now until Aug. 24 on Thursdays from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Wareham Middle School track on Viking Drive.

The event challenges participants to run 26.2 miles over the course of the summer. One token is earned for each lap and a medallion coin is earned when participants turn in four tokens.

Earn prizes by collecting medallions and trading them in as the challenge is completed.

The cost is $20 to participate. Runners do not have to attend every week to participate. It will be up to participants to challenge themselves walking or running to do as many laps as possible. Laps begin promptly at 6 p.m. and end at 7 p.m.

Wareham Action to Achieve is sponsoring the event in connection with The Office of Beyond School Time.
