Council on Aging seeks volunteers, donations for lunch program
Jan 14, 2013
The Council on Aging is seeking volunteers for its congregate lunch program and for Meals on Wheels.
Volunteers can assist as little as one hour per week. The programs depend on help from volunteers.
"Come meet and network with great, dedicated people," said Cheryl Johannessen.
Donations of peanut butter, jam, bread, and breakfast items for the program's coffee bar are also sought. The donations will be used for the nutrition programs — not the food pantry.
Both programs are run out of the Multi-Service Center, located across the parking lot from Town Hall on Marion Road.
To volunteer, contact Cheryl Johannessen at 508-291-3100, ext. 6514. Volunteers must pass a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check.
